Minister of Education and OLME Talks Break Down

A usual unfastening of the new school year is at risk, after the fruitless gathering of the Minister of Education, Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, with the board of the teachers' amalgamation OLME, which was held on August 22 at the ministry, after the union's demand to talk about the contentious suspension design and other practical matters concerning the scheduling of the new school year.

regardless of the Minister's reassurance, teachers assert on their places and are designing to coordinate a sequence of hits in the starting of the school year. although, the government answered that schools will operate as normal.

Arvanitopoulos addressed the informative community saying that there will be no more suspensions of educators and he emphasised the effort being made to absorb educators related to wellbeing occupations by bodies of the Ministry of Health, as well as for the rest hovering to be absorbed by other public associations or services of the Ministry of learning associated to informative teaching.

Educators answer to the decrease of almost 16,000 high school educators through suspensions, moves and retirement, while they are opposed to the alterations put ahead for the Lyceum.

OLME deplores that the application deadline for the educators who will be moved expires in two days and educators have not yet been given responses to some very critical inquiries.
